Tech Support and Troubleshooting Apps for Win7

Author admin on 15-03-2010

No system can guarantee the perfect functioning for ever, and same applies for even the most advanced and latest Microsoft operating system, Windows 7. No matter how reliable and consistent tech support back up is given within, something will evidently go wrong with prolonged usage.

However, there are some specialized troubleshooting applications have proven their value in computer repair and maintenance to beat the annoying problems like Blue Screen of Death or slow running programs. Exciting thing is, all such Windows 7 applications can be downloaded from open source software and free for personal usage, and you can place them in your Windows toolbox.

Sysinternals’s Process Explorer is one Win7 troubleshooting application that can replace Task Manager or run alongside. You can see a tree view of processes on launching the Process Explorer in your system. The window will show four graphs of CPU usage, Commit history, I/O bytes history and Physical memory history that shows a detailed process running thread showing how the backend programs are working. Also the Process Explorer can do a lot more you could do with Task Manager.

Process Explorer is just an example; other top applications are System Information for Windows (SIW), Blue Screen View, Sysinternals’ Autoruns, WinDirStat, Unlocker and OpenedFilesView. Keep an eye on upcoming posts discussing these applications and talk to our tech support team to get access of them.
